A Funeral
Two sisters, Ray and Yumi, and a robot named Phanes, and a dead man David. Many many years ago, there was THE WAR. The first and last nuclear war on earth. Humans have parted ways into two completely "isolated" civilizations, one lives on the surface, one lives in individual silos underground. That's where we are at.
Story Beats
- Queit afternoon in the forest: Yumi is reading a histroic fairy tale book, while Ray skins a rabbit for dinner
- A sudden "phone" call disrupts their peace. Robot Phanes ask for their help to host the funeral for David
- Yumi learns how to host the funeral at Ray's guidance; They help clear Phanes's memory of David, and witness David's life together
- Ray and Yumi helps Phanes to plant a seed with David's ashes, then receives medicine and weapon
- Phanes warns them there's a storm coming; Ray and Yumi ride fast into the darkened forest
